The Belles first match was against Over Peover CC. Emily won the toss and elected to bowl first. The captain led by example conceding just six runs from her over and taking one wicket (-3). Scarlett was the pick of the batters scoring nineteen runs in the final over to clinch victory 61-2 : 75-0.

Marple Originals were our next opponents and Gresford won a very close match 59-2 vs 54-3 with Libby the pick of the bowlers conceding three runs and taking one wicket. Sophia was in the grove with the bat smashing ten of her over including a six. Her batting partner Mandy also got in the runs.

The third match was against a very good Irby side who eventually won the tournament and remained undefeated all afternoon. 73-0 : 28-5. Mia was the pick of our bowlers in her last over conceding just five runs. Every game is an opportunity to learn!

Our final match was against Pont Pythons and Gresford came out winners 38-2 : 47-3.

An excellent tournament to bring the curtain down on a season of progress for the Belles with all the players having highlights with the bat and the ball.

Many thanks to our friends at Barrow CC for organising a great day, enjoyed by the seven teams who took part.
