Firstly. many thanks to CBH for such a brilliant game of cricket...to their players, coach and parents. Secondly, apologies to CBH as this report is all about Gresford U15`s!

We started and finished with only 10....late pull outs, school stuff, injuries left us one short.
Good wicket, fast outfield, CBH made a good start and gradually increased their scoring rate as their innings progressed. Despite amassing 150 runs off their 20 overs the G`fd bowlers gave of their best. Harry P was the stand out with 2 for 13 off 3 overs. U13 players Emlyn and Joe also deserve for their two over spells ....more on these two later.

Chasing 150 was a daunting prospect. However, Fred (25), Jamie (lbw 14), Will (15) gave us the start we needed (58 off 6 overs). Harry continued the run chase with 37(retired), the best innings of the day.
After 17 overs we are 25 runs short of the target with 2 wks in hand. Emlyn hits a 6, then two 4`s. Last over, Joe facing, 2 needed.....calm as you like plays the first fours as calm as you like, 5th ball through midwicket for 2....we win with one ball to spare.

Brilliant game, great attitude from both teams....well done to all 21 players!
