Women’s and Girls’ Section have been awarded £8444 by Sport Wales’ Be Active Wales Fund to help them develop a women’s and girls’ section with training and coaching equipment. The initiative is designed to increase the number of women and girls in cricket regardless of previous experience just with the motivation to have a go. Anyone interested should contact justineparry8@gmail.com or Gresford Cricket Club website.
By distributing money from The National Lottery, the Be Active Wales Fund offers clubs grants to get more people participating, or to help keep people taking part at clubs and activities into the future.

Coaching sessions for the women and girls are held at Darland Sports Centre on Sunday 24th March and Sunday 7th April 2024 2-3p.m.

WOMENS AND GIRLS CRICKET
In line with the ambitions of the England and Wales Cricket Board to increase the participation of women and girls in cricket, Gresford Cricket Club are starting womens and girls coaching sessions at Darland High School during March and April 2024. The sessions are for women and girls of High School age or above at a cost of £2 per session. No experience of cricket is necessary just the energy to have a go.
